Rome Tennis Center Management Team Selected

MEDIA RELEASE: - The office of the Rome City Manager is pleased to announce the new management team for the Rome Tennis Center at Berry
College. Tom Daglis has been appointed Executive Director of the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College & will also serve as the Director of the
Professional Tennis Management Program at Berry College starting June 1, 2016. Kevin Brundle has been selected to serve as Director of Tennis
at Rome Tennis Center at Berry College & Assistant Director of the Professional Tennis Management Program starting May 8, 2016.
Daglis will oversee the strategy, operations, staff, finances & culture of Rome Tennis Center at Berry College and Downtown Tennis Center. He
is responsible for establishing the organizational culture and operating principals of the center while increasing the center's visibility to
grow the number of competitive tournaments offered.
As the Director of the USTA Professional Tennis Management (PTM) Certification program offered at Berry College, Daglis will oversee the PTM
program which is a four-year academic & experiential/work program & is one of only a handful sponsored by USTA nationally.
Daglis is a career tennis professional with a wealth of credentials and accolades. He is a certified USPTA Master Professional, a distinction
shared with only 155 USPTA Master Professionals worldwide. He was recognized in 2006 with the Alex Gordon USPTA National Professional of the
Year, twice recognized as USPTA Georgia Professional of the Year, Maryland Professional of the Year, Southern Professional of the Year &
Mid-Atlantic Professional of the Year and is a member of USPTA Southern Hall of Fame.
Daglis has served as president for the USPTA Southern Division, the association’s largest division where he instituted new policies & programs
to realize a dramatic growth in membership & completed his term leaving the financial condition the strongest in the history of the division.
Daglis most recently completed a four year term as the USPTA National President where he opened a USPTA China Division & instituted a plan for
mandatory education for USPTA professionals.

excellent fit & has the right skill set to take our tennis efforts to unprecedented levels as we seek to build a world class tennis facility
here in Rome,” said Rome City Manager, Sammy Rich.
Brundle will be responsible to oversee the programming & assist the executive director in all operations. Most recently, Brundle served as the
Director of Tennis at the Village Tennis Club in Houston, TX & previously served as Director of the Tampa Tennis Club, a 41 court facility with
one of the top 10 & under junior programs in the state & was responsible for doubling membership & increasing program participation.
“In addition to Tom, we are just as excited to add Kevin Brundle. Kevin comes to us with an outstanding background of delivering top notch
tennis programming & will be a strategic member of the team. With the recent vacancy of our director at the Downtown Tennis Center, Kevin will
be able to hit the ground running & make sure we continue to provide a high level of service our tennis community has come to expect.“
Mark Law will serve as Interim Operations Manager at the Downtown Tennis Center. He is an official for Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA)
& USTA and works in many capacities including line judge & head referee for junior, collegiate & adult tournaments throughout the southeast.
The Rome Tennis Center at Berry College is on-schedule to be completed in June and will officially open in July 2016.
